New Media and the web... I remember hand writing all my stories, and
then typing and pasting them up, so they could be rolled off into a
newspaper.
How much the world has changed, from hand
developing my photos for the original Sto:lo Nation News, to the world
wide web, and a blog!
Nowadays, the new wave in
communications is New Media... So here I go, adapting to the new media
and the technology that it takes to get out and communicate.
The ultimate goal is communication!!! What do you all think of blogging? New Media? Split second communication?
I feel that more is lost in communication when everything has become digital. For me I feel a closer connection to the photos if I developed them, or to a letter if someone wrote it to me. Sadly everyone has to adapt, the world is changing so fast.
ReplyDeleteAlthought the amount of communication is staggering and nigh on impossible to keep up with; opening up the world to us and making us aware of what has been hidden and bad is good. I am also meeting people that I would never ever have had an opportunity to meet if we still lived in the old non-digital world.
ReplyDeleteJean: it is unbelievable the amount of communication that goes on on the web. How are we going to network and establish healthy communications systems on this intricate web! Ohh what an intricate web we weave, within these invisible lines of communication. The world is now flattened, as it was when the people once believed it was flat, and that if they sailed too far in the ocean, they would fall off! Myths, legends, stories all abound and flow over one another now, as we are all communicating, and reaching out to all corners of the world. Where will this evolution take us? How far can the world wide web go?
Deleteit is a digital world.. wonder where this will take us? We need to be able to communicate with each other, and share, and expand our knowledge... communication is key...
